Jung Typology Test

About a week ago one of my professors gave the class the assignment of needing to take the Myers-Briggs Jung Typology Test. I had never heard of it but when I clicked the link to the test it and read a few questions it seemed easy enough.

It is comprised of about 60-70 questions I believe. The questions were actually quite fascinating. A part of me wanted to answer the way the person I project myself to be would answer and another part of me was like, screw it, be you.

I followed the latter. I answered these questions completely honestly even if it was something I was uncomfortable admitting to myself.

My ‘score’ ended up being “INTJ”, the website described it this way:

 You are:

  • moderately expressed introvert
  • moderately expressed intuitive personality
  • distinctively expressed thinking personality
  • distinctively expressed judging personality

Because this wasn’t quite thorough enough for my likings and also because my professor assigned some follow up work relating to this test, I delved a bit deeper.

I came across a type description by D. Keirsey. Dr. Keirsey labeled all 16 possible combinations of the Jung test. Some examples would be supervisor, inspector, inventor, champion, healer, and crafter. My label is Mastermind. Quite fitting, wouldn’t you say? Joking. This title of mastermind really interested me so I decided I needed to continue my search for information. (Did I mention Stephen Hawking was also labeled a mastermind? Talk about being in good company.)

Finally, I came across a website that was full of information on INTJ and their relationships. I found it to be very true to form and when my significant other and I get a few moments to ourselves I think I may have him take the test and see where he falls. It’s all so fascinating. Then again, that could just be true to me because I’m an INTJ.

Goodbye for now. My children beckon me.

Oh and if you are interested in taking the test just google it. Lots of different sites will pop up.

About Me

I just realized that I haven’t created any kind of biography for myself. Eventually, I will have a place on my blog for this information but for now I will post it.

Let’s start with the basics. My name is Sarah Rae Vargas. But I’m flirting with the idea of having a pen name, Rae McKay? Still up in the air.

I am 23 years old. I’m a student at Aurora University studying Communications. At this rate I will have my degree in mid 2013. I received a general studies associates degree from Waubonsee Community College.

I have two beautiful babies. Nahla is my first born, 14.5 months old. Jaden is baby brother, 5 months. Yes, my children are 9.5 months apart. Yes, I’m busy. Yes, I now know how fertile women are after they give birth. Don’t get me wrong, I love my kids, but constantly hearing the same exact comments regarding how close in age my children are can become a bit tiring.

I’m currently in a relationship with the father of my babies. We met in 2009 via Facebook. It was a chance encounter… and now look how far we’ve come. He’s a loving father and boyfriend, we’ve had our issues, but who doesn’t? He selflessly provides for our family of four allowing me to pursue my studies, write, and be a stay at home mom (SAHM).

I have many different interests. I love entertainment as far as television shows, movies, music, celebrities, and all the goings on of Hollywood. I’m also quite interested in women’s fashion, make-up, and hair. Also, now that I’m a mother I do spend quite a bit of time looking into the latest toys and clothing for infants.

As far as personal information… I was (lap)banded in June of 2009. My weight dropped dramatically. I then became pregnant. Gained much of it back and now I’m back on track to losing it. It’s a very long story which I’m sure I will write about in a subsequent post.

I love to cook! I’m always trying out new recipes. In the last few months I have come across some real finds and some real duds. I will definitely be posting my successes and failures in the kitchen.

A few months after becoming a mother I discovered the world of couponing. I would no longer consider myself a newbie (yay!) but I’m definitely no extreme couponer. I mostly stick to CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart for my couponing. When I find some great deals though I will be sure to post!

Finally, I am a writer. I have always dreamed of being a writer. Then one day I woke up and realized that I don’t need to dream about it. I can just do it. Yes, I will have failures. But I will also have successes, I’m sure of it. I grew up writing for the school newspaper and writing HP Fan Fiction. I’m in love with words. They are so powerful and can affect people in such profound ways. My ultimate goal is to become an author. For now I am doing any and every freelance opportunity that I can find. With or without compensation. I simply want the experience and perhaps some recognition.

Well, that’s enough for now. I’m sure I will be elaborating on different things as time progresses.
